Speedcoat® is a permanent foul-release clear coat for the protection of propellers, underwater lights, and underwater metals, which provides excellent performance against exterior attacking elements such as barnacles, algae, mussels, and other fouling.
Speedcoat® is a single-substance, ready-to-use product that cures at room temperature with ambient moisture in 2-4 hours to touch and 8 hours to total cure. For underwater metals, including metallic hulls, it is strongly advised to use Speedcoat® over a vinyl bronze primer or vinyl wash primer.
In addition to allowing for easy removal of marine organisms, Speedcoat® offers superior glide and slip on the water surface, allowing you to get on plane faster and stay there longer minimizing fuel consumption.

Unlike poisonous paints and coatings, Speedcoat® is an easy to apply, eco-friendly product that does not harm marine organisms; it reduces or eliminates their ability to attach to surfaces properly treated with Speedcoat® employing just effective control of slime cleaning the assets with a glove or textile material removing all slime easily postponing the barnacles developments.
Yes, it can be applied to most underwater surfaces that require protection from fouling, such as propellers, other underwater metallic surfaces, and underwater lights and metallic hulls as well.
With proper application and maintenance, Speedcoat® is effective 12-18 months before reapplication. In addition, if the coating is still present with sufficient coverage, very little surface preparation is required prior to reapplication.

It is critical that the surfaces are clean and free of dirt, oil, and any other contaminates. For increased adhesion, we highly recommend the use of a vinyl bronze primer or vinyl wash primer, followed by two coats of Speedcoat® with 3 hours between applications.
